Added to the Nottoway Chapel list. Southampton County Historical Society {SCHS} Cemetery Project, Miscellaneous Cemeteries, Vol. 2 (MV-II-58): http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/southampton/cemeteries/miscvol2.txt D.Cert. 73-026914 also gives daughter of William and Betty Goodman Johnson; the informant was her daughter Rose. The records for Ginny & her siblings are extremely confusing. "Martha WILLIAMS", daughter of Elizabeth WILLIAMS, 1m. George DUNDELOW, son of Martha DUNDELOW, 27 Jan 1904 (Southampton Co. #21). DUNDELOW is another confusing surname; most of their children used DUNLOW. George seems identical with the George W. DUNDLOW who d. 4 Mar 1927 in Isle of Wight Co.; he was buried in Southampton Co. near Franklin. "Jennie DUNDELOW", daughter of ___ & Bettie MUMFORD, 2m. widower John Will RAWLS, son of Dick & Ellen RAWLS, 9 Jun 1917 (Southampton Co. #112). John (ca. 1877 NC - 1953) is buried in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg. Ginny's sister Annie Lee (Mrs. Charlie H.) BRADSHAW & brother William M. JOHNSON are buried in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. SCHS Cemetery Project, Black Creek list (BC-4 & 18): http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/southampton/cemeteries/blkcrk.txt Annie's m.rec. gives Annie Lee WILLIAMS, daughter of Bettie MUNFORD; her D.Cert., JOHNSON. William's D.Cert. gives son of Henry & Betty (WILLIAMS) JOHNSON; his obits ("Daily Press" & "Tidewater News," Mar. 1959) give his sister as "Gennie" (DP) & "Jennie" (TN). Their mother Bettie (Mrs. Joseph H.) MUNFORD d. 25 Mar 1925 and was buried 27 Mar 1925 in the Family Burying Place. (D.Cert. 7539 (Jerusalem #6) Her m.rec.: Joseph MUMFORD, 42, widowed, b. & res. Southampton Co., son of Harry & Ellen MUMFORD, Laborer Elizabeth WILLIAMS WHITE, 42, single, b. & res. Southampton Co., daughter of Goodman & Virginia WILLIAMS m. 3 Oct 1901 Southampton (Southampton Co. M.Reg. 1901 #161; not in MB10) These seem to be Bettie's parents: Goodman WASHINGTON & Virginia WOMBLE m. 21 Dec 1850. (Southampton Co. M.Reg. 596, 728; MB1:2) Her father seems to be identical with this groom: Goodwyn (Gooden) WILLIAMS & Lucy BRITT m.bond 22 Jan 1827; wit: Etheldred KITCHEN; James ROCHELLE, Mildred BRITT (Southampton Co. M.Reg. 368) Contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by File Manager Matt Harris (zoobug64@aol.com); additional information from Anne Marie Piland. file at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/southampton/obits/r420v1ob.txt
