Ramsey, age 45 years, a resident of Drewryville, died Tuesday at the Eastern State Hospital, Williamsburg, after an illness of several years. He was the son of the late Wesley and Minnie Travis Ramsey of North Carolina. He was a member of the Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, Drewryville, where he served faithfully for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Carrie Jarratt Ramsey; three daughters, Misses Dean Ramsey, Frances and Eugenia Ramsey, Drewryville; two sons, Edward Ramsey, Richmond, and Bert T. Ramsey, Jr., Drewryville; two brothers, William Ramsey, Bethel, N.C., and Robert Ramsey, Martin, Suffolk. Funeral services will be held from the home in Drewryville Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. C. Bailey Jones. Interment will be made in the Drewryville cemetery.
