Holland Funeral Home in Franklin by Rev. R.D. Stephenson, retired pastor of the Franklin Baptist Church. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. He was the son of the late John R. and Sallie Cobb Rountree of Southampton County. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. C.E. Cobb, of Suffolk, and Mrs. Arthur Turner, of Franklin; two brothers, Roger B. Rountree and Ashby Rountree, both of Suffolk.
