BURNETT COUNCILL ROUNTREE

   Funeral service for Mrs. Burnett Councill Rountree, 78, was held at 2 p.m. 
Monday at Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Elmo Nauman of Franklin 
Congregational Church.

   The widow of Rochelle Rountree died early Saturday in Southampton Memorial 
Hospital after a short illness.  She was a daughter of the late James J. and 
Mrs. Martha Scott Councill of Southampton County and a member Franklin 
Congregational Christian Church Women's Fellowship Society and Carrie Beale's 
ladies class.

   Surviving are a son, Col. Councill P. Rountree of Ft. Monroe, and five 
grandchildren.

   Pallbearers were Lawrence Councill, J. Paul Councill, Philip Councill, 
James C. Drake, Samuel Bradshaw and Comdr. [... - this was all]
