D.B. ROUNTREE In the passing of Mrs. Maud Rountree, the Newsoms community has sustained a great loss. In all the varied relations of earth she was ever faithful and her energetic devotion, given so unselfishly to her home and family, was of a high degree. Mrs. Rountree’s illness was brief and her death came as a shock to those who loved her, but her faith failed not and she calmly entered the spirit world with that peace that passeth understanding. Funeral services were conducted in the home by her Pastor, Rev. R.H. Marks, and her body was placed in Hollywood Hill Cemetery [sic*] at Newsoms, the beautiful flowers, offering silent testimony to the sympathy and affection of friends and relatives. Besides her husband, D.B. Rountree, she is survived by four sons and one daughter, her parents and several brothers and sisters. The body bearers were: Thomas, Millard, and M.E. Rountree, E.L. and W.M. Cutchins, W.G. and O.M. Bailey and A.R. Whitley. Maude Dell (CUTCHINS; Mrs. Daniel B.)
