ROUNTREE FRANKLIN - Rodger B. Rountree, 78, died in his home in Nansemond County Tuesday morning after a brief illness. A native of Southampton County, he was a retired farmer. He lived here 15 years. He was a son of John R. and Mrs. Martha Cobb Rountree. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Bessie R. Cobb of Nansemond County and Mrs. Minnie R. Turner of Franklin; and four nieces, Mrs. Mills P. Daughtrey of Franklin; Mrs. Floyd W. Harrison of Alexandria, Mrs. Bernard L. Hollowell of Richmond, and Mrs. G. M. Kite Jr. of Gainesville, Fla. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. St. Elmo Nauman of Franklin Congregational Christian Church. W.J.M.
