Seay The body of Mrs. Walter W. Seay, who died at a hospital in Norfolk, October 1, was brought here on the 11:11 train Friday morning and taken to the home of her mother, Mrs. Marietta McClenny. The funeral services were conducted in Grace Memorial M. E. church, Sedley, Sunday at one o'clock by Dr. C.H. Rowland of Franklin in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives, " The Haven of Rest," "Rock of Ages" and "Jesus Lover of My Soul" being among the hymns rendered by the choir. Interment was made in the family cemetery. The grave was covered with many floral designs. H.T. Harmeny, J.J. Howell, J.C. Bradshaw, Royal Williams, W.F. Lewis and J.R. Wade were active pallbearers. Honorary, J.J. Scott, William Wellons, J.W. Edwards, R.L. Johnson and J.F. Faircloth. Mrs. Seay before her marriage was Miss Katherine Leigh McClenny, a former resident of this place. She was a member of the Friends church and was known as a lady of sterling character, possessing many fine characteristics. She was a loving daughter and sister, a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Walter Seay, three small children of Norfolk, her mother, Mrs. Marietta McClenny of this place, four sister and five brothers and a number of nieces and nephews.
