REESE PARKER SHUFELT Irma Reese Parker Shufelt, 94, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 1997, at the home of her daughter, Dorothy R. Parker of Surry. She was the daughter of Louise May Simmons and John Edwin Reese of Southampton County and was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar E. Parker Sr.; two brothers, Thomas E. Reese and Roy Reese; and three sisters, Emma R. Matthews, Mary R. Whitmore and Annie R. Reese. Survivors include a son, Oscar E. Parker Jr. and his wife, Glenice, of Wakefield; two daughters, Dorothy R . Parker of Surry and Irma P. Parker of Williamsburg; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in the family cemetery, Sebrell, by the Rev. William S. Ferguson. Friends and family may assemble at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Friday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Crater Community Hospice, 4233 Crossings Blvd., Prince George, Va. 23875. Irma M.
