All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CLYDE WALTER SPANNER Clyde Walter Spanner, 57, died Saturday night in a Norfolk hospital from injuries sustained in a traffic accident June 10. He was the husband of Mrs. Ruth Sharp Spanner and son of Mrs. Mabel Walters Spanner and the late Walter Spanner. A native of Fort Collins, he had lived in Franklin for seven years. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving besides his wife and mother are a son, Jack Spanner of Richland, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. James Coorden of Richland and Mrs. Stuart Crawford and Mrs. L.A. Branch of Franklin; a brother, Charles Spanner of Gordon, Neb.; a sister, Mrs. Mel Forsythe of Denver, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services was held in Poplar Spring Cemetery Tuesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family requested contributions be made to the heart fund. Pallbearers were Dr. L.A. Branche, Robert Hollowell, George Gehrken, David Rideout, Stewart Crawford and Robert Madron.
