LORENA MAY BOWDEN SKEETER

   Mrs. Lorena May Skeeter, 66, died at her home near Zuni on Thursday 
morning, August 14, after a short illness.

   She is survived by a son, W.T. Skeeter of Zuni, three sisters, Mrs. Y.P. 
Britt and Mrs. J.H. Clark of Zuni and Miss Myra Bowden of Suffolk; a half 
brother, D.J. Bowden, of Richmond; and two grandchildren.

   The remains were taken to the Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield. 
Funeral services for Mrs. Skeeter were held at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church 
at four o’clock on Friday afternoon, with the pastor, Rev. L.E. Holzback, 
officiating.  Burial was in the Bowden family cemetery near Zuni.

   Active pallbearers were E.M. Luter, Tom Joyner, Bob Sadler, Jake Rowell, 
Ocie Bradshaw, Johnnie Hedgepeth, Percy Bradshaw and Jesse E. Britt, Jr.
