HORATIO PAUL SCARBOROUGH JR. 

   VIRGINIA BEACH - A funeral service for Paul Scarborough Jr. was conducted 
Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Virginia Beach by the Rev. H. 
Wadell Waters.  Burial was at 4 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin. 
Maestas Funeral Home, Virginia Beach was in charge. 

   Pallbearers were J.J. Cherer III, David W. Scott, Michael Wood, Reuben 
Evans, Larry Taylor and H. Ward Vick. 

   Scarborough, 60, 203-35th St., Virginia Beach died Sunday at 7:40 a.m. in a 
Virginia Beach Hospital after a short illness. 

   A native of Franklin, he was a son of Mrs. Dora Wasdon Scarborough and the 
late Paul Scarborough Sr.  He had lived in Virginia Beach for the past ten 
years and was assistant manager of the Diplomat Motel. 

   Besides his mother he is survived by two sons, Marine Maj. Paul Scarborough 
III of Marin County, Calif. and Boyd Scarborough of Virginia Beach; two 
daughters, Mrs. A.L. Grimes Jr. of Virginia Beach and Miss Margaret May 
Scarborough of Imperial Beach, Calif., one brother, Charles Wasdon Scarborough 
of Richmond and five grandchildren.
