Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Screws died Monday in East Pavilion of Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of J. Riddick Screws and lived here for 15 years. She was a Methodist. She was a member of Pocahontas Eastern Star Chapter 103, Williamsburg. Her husband owned Screws Shoe repair shop in Franklin. She held the worthy matron award of 1961 from the Eastern Star. Other survivors include two sons, Robert C. Dail, Jr. of Tabb and Augustus D. Dail of Newport News; a stepdaughter Mrs. Charles Bradshaw of Suffolk; a brother, Glenn Twiford of Stumpy Point, N.C.; three sisters, Anne Pape and Norma Gregory of Virginia Beach, and Lillian Midgette of Norfolk; and seven grandchildren.
