Son of William and Nancy Blythe Scott, he was a native of Southampton County and one of the oldest members of Hunterdale Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Cobb Scott; two daughters, Mrs. Asa Joyner of Franklin and Mrs. D.N. Clark of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sons, Emmett Scott and Herman Scott of Franklin; six grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be held in Holland & Sons Funeral Home Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Harold Tribble of Hunterdale Christian Church, and the Rev. R.E. Brittle of Bethlehem Christian Church, Suffolk. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
