Scott and daughter of the late Bailey and Nancy Bradshaw Bryant of Southampton County, died Sunday night at her home near Franklin after an illness of two years. Surviving are four sons, Charles and Frank Scott of Franklin, Menalcus Scott of Suffolk, and Preston Scott of Williamsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Beale of Victoria, and Mrs. Lelia Helen Holland of Franklin; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at Black Creek Baptist Church by the pastor, the Rev. W.B. Watson. Burial took place in the church cemetery, pallbearers being Joe Councill, C.C. Edwards, R.W. Gillette, Lawrence Councill, Floyd Griffin and W.S. Beale. Caroline (BRYANT; Mrs. James T.)
