CHARLIE REED SCOTT 

   A funeral service for Charlie Reed Scott was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday 
in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. C.L. Gatling of Black Creek 
Baptist Church.  Burial was in the church cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Charlie Bulls, A.E. Drewry, L.E. Bradshaw, Alvin Brock, 
C.C. Edwards, J.R. Tomlin and A.P. Hatfield.

   Scott, 75, a retired clerk, died in a Richmond hospital Tuesday after a 
long illness.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of James T. and Mrs. Caroline 
Bryant Scott.

   He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

   Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Kathleen Scott Beale of Victoria.
