He was the son of Mrs. Nellie Rebecca Turner Scott of Franklin and the late Andrew J. Scott. Beside his mother, Mr. Scott is survived by two sons, Beverly Hester Scott and Edward Andrew Scott, Jr., of Franklin; two brothers, William Hunter Scott and Vernard R. Scott of Franklin; five sisters, Mrs. Shelly Joyner, Mrs. Gordon Bridges and Mrs. Lee Roy Allen of Franklin; Mrs. Allen Mckinson of Norfolk and Mrs. G.C. Panton of Warwick and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Hone by Rev. Allen Wentz, pastor of Belhaven Methodist Church of Belhaven, N.C. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Herman Scott, William Marks, Edgar Blythe, George Scott, Howard Turner, Leon Delk and Stanley Campbell.
