GEORGE GRANT SCOTT

FATHER OF FAMOUS MOVIE STAR

   To the younger generation Mr. Scott is better known as the father of 
Randolph Scott, famous screen star, who is one of seven children surviving him 
together with his wife, Mrs. Lucy Crane Scott, a native of Charleston, West 
Virginia*.  There are five daughters, one of whom lives in Sweden, and two 
sons, Randolph and Joe Scott.  Mr. Scott is also survived by two brothers, 
Robert L. and J. Hersey Scott and a sister, Miss Eva Scott of Franklin; by two 
sisters, Mrs. C.H. Hayes and Mrs. J.J. Bradshaw of Washington, and a large 
family connection.  Members of the family here had not been advised as to 
definite funeral arrangements yesterday afternoon.
