R.E. Brittle. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were John Woods, Garland Beale, John C. Bunch, Woody Faison, S.A. Carr, Earl Blankenship and Mile Hunnings. Scott, 53, died Wednesday. A native of Franklin*, he was a son of Richie W. and Mrs. Madeline Hart Scott and the husband of Mrs. Dorothy Hunnings Scott. He was a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ and a Navy veteran of World War II. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Jesse H. Scott Jr., of Houston, Texas, and Richie W. Scott and C. Warren Scott of Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. Wilma Turner of Annandale and Mrs. Eve L. Malik and Miss Wanda Scott of Franklin; six brothers John Scott and Carroll Scott of Franklin, Eugene Scott of Norfolk, William Scott and Harry Scott of Hopewell, and Randolph Scott of Kinston; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Blankenship Sr. of Franklin and Mrs. Frances Watson of Wallace, N.C. and four grandchildren.
