Scott, died early Monday in Raiford Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank C. Johnson of Nansemond County, she was a member of South Quay Baptist Church and Bethel Church Guild. Besides he husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Franklin Raiford of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. J.H. Short of Spiceland, Ind., and Mrs. W.E. Wallace of San Rafael, Calif.; and two grandsons. A funeral service was conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Lawrence Johnson, James Richard Kello, 3rd, Robert Francis Kello, Claude Fenton Scott, George Crawford Scott, Jr., Linwood Lee Scott, W. Hunter Scott and Emmett Scott.
