Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Joyner Scott and two sons, Crawford and Joe Scott of the community. He was 65 years old. Funeral services were conducted at Joyner’s Church Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson, assisted by the Rev. R.E. Brittle, with burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery here. Pallbearers were R.L. Scott, Asa Joyner, R.I. Beale, N.C. Barbour, D.C. Gillette, John Beale, Isaac White and Hersey Scott.
