All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ NELLIE REBECCA HUNTER TURNER SCOTT Mrs. Nellie Turner Scott, 77, widow of Andrew Jackson Scott, died at her home in Hunterdale on Wednesday afternoon, October 9. The deceased was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rebecca Goodwin Turner of Southampton County. She was a member of the Hunterdale Christian Church and its woman's Fellowship. Surviving her are two sons, W. Hunter Scott and Vernard Scott of Franklin; five daughters, Mrs. Allan Makinson of Great Bridge, Mrs. Gilbert Panton of Warwick, and Mrs. S.M. Joyner, Mrs. Gordon Bridges and Mrs. Lee Roy Allen, all of Franklin; and 19 great-grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Scott were held from the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons this (Thursday) afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, with Rev. Joe A. French, pastor of the Hunterdale Christian Church, and Rev. Clyde L. Fields, a former pastor, officiating. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, pallbearers being Bernard Blythe, Edgar Blythe, Sam Bradshaw, Stanley Campbell, John Y. Jones, William G. O'Brien, Junius W. Pulley, Jr., and N.E. Stephenson.
