Scott of Franklin, died last Saturday morning at Raiford Hospital. Mrs. Scott succumbed to an illness of several weeks, and had been taken to the hospital only a few days before her death. In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Neta Franklin and Barbara Ann Scott; her step-mother, Mrs. S.A. Carr of Wilmington, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. S.S. Fountain and Miss Edith Carr of Wilmington and Mrs. A.L. Hux of Halifax, N.C.; two brothers, S.A. Carr, Jr. of Franklin and Irwin Carr of Wallace, N.C. Services were held at the home in Camp Apartments, Fourth Avenue, here, Monday afternoon at 4 o’clock, the Rev. B.B. Bland, the Rev. R.D. Stephenson and Dr. Elwood W. Jones conducting. A quartette composed of Mrs. Seith Atkinson, Mrs. Rosalie Britt, S.A. Lipscomb, Jr. and J. Edgar Weede sang "It is Well with My Soul." Mrs. Atkinson singing "Good Night and Good Morning." Interment took place in Poplar Spring Cemetery here with the following pallbearers: L.B. Holland, John M. Camp, Seith Atkinson, W.D. Williams, Jr., J.S. Collier, W.F. Syphrett, John C. Bradshaw and James H. Lee. Young friends of Misses Neta Franklin and Barbara Scott and the girl member of the former’s graduating class at Franklin High School acted as flower girls. Mrs. Scott leaves many relatives and friends who will not soon forget her gracious memory nor the love she shared with all who knew her. Neta Franklin (CARR; Mrs. John H.)
