Scott, died last Monday after a brief illness with acute indigestion. She was a consistent member of Sebrell M.E. Church and a good neighbor, wife and mother. She was buried in Trinity M.E. Church by her pastor, Rev. W.L. Burks. Besides a husband, she leaves six small children; a father and mother, three sisters, three brothers and many sympathizing friends. The pallbearers were R.R. Reese, Mr. Vaughan, Mack Babb, C.W. Vinson, B.F. Briggs, and B.W. Davis. Rev. Mr. Burks, Mr. and Mrs. B.W. Sebrell, Mrs. L.M. Reese and Mrs. L.M. Cobb sang several of her favorite hymns while the grave was being filled. The flowers were profuse and beautiful, attesting the high esteem in which she was held. *Strangely, her name is given incorrectly- see marriage record & notes below.
