SCOTT Mr. Woodson Scott, one of the oldest residents of the Franklin community died at his home near here January 13, in his eighty-third year. He was a successful farmer, an honest and upright citizen and a good neighbor in his community. The funeral services were conducted from his late residence Wednesday afternoon, January 15, at 2 o'clock., interment being made in Poplar Spring Cemetery here at 3:30 o'clock. His wife who was a Miss Councill* of this community preceded him to the grave about six years ago. He is survived by four sons, Geo. G. Scott of Charlotte, N.C., R.B., R.L. and J.H. Scott of Franklin; by three daughters, Miss Eva Scott of Franklin and Misses Carrie and Jeannette Scott of Washington, D.C., and one brother, Mr. Geo. W. Scott of Franklin, besides a wide circle of relatives throughout the neighborhood in which he was born and spent his entire life.
