All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CADMUS TURNER STEPHENSON Cadmus Turner Stephenson, a lifelong resident and prominent farmer and merchant of this county, died at his home near Zuni on Friday afternoon, October 17, after an illness of four years. At the time of his death he was 81 years of age. He was the husband of Mary Williams Stephenson of Zuni, and the son of the late Alfred and Unity Delk Stephenson of this county. He was a member of the Burdette Baptist Church. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Alfred Stephenson of Ames, Iowa, and Cadmus Williams Stephenson of Zuni. Funeral services for Mr. Stephenson were conducted at the Burdette Baptist Church on Monday afternoon at three o’clock, and burial was in the family cemetery near Zuni. The active pallbearers were Jim Tatum, Victor Branch, Thomas Rowe, Burrell Boothe, Richard Williams, and Gordon Stephenson.
