STEPHENSON, WELL-KNOWN CITIZEN, CHURCH WOMAN DIES Mrs. Eunice Bridges Stephenson, well-known and beloved resident of Franklin, and a native of Northampton County, N.C., died early Monday at Southampton Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was the widow of the late Rev. Robert Davis* Stephenson, former pastor of the Franklin Baptist Church, and the daughter of the late James and Georgia Cook Bridges, of Northampton County, N.C. Until her health prevented her from taking an active part in outside activities during the past several years. Mrs. Stephenson was quite active in the Franklin Baptist Church, having taught Sunday school for a number of years when her husband was pastor of the church. She was also interested in Association work and taught Mission Study Classes in the area. Surviving Mrs. Stephenson are one daughter; Mrs. Eunice Stephenson Conwell and husband Hudson Conwell, one grandson; Robert Hudson Conwell all of Franklin, several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at graveside Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Eunice (BRIDGES; Mrs. Robert D.)
