High St., was held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were James B. Favinholt, Robert Rawls, John Paul Jones, Thomas Pulley, Dr. Urquhart Stephenson, E.V. Stephenson, Rupert Tart and William Tall Jones Jr. Stephenson died Monday at 4 p.m. in a Richmond hospital. A native of Southampton County, he lived at Seven Pines Farm in Ivor. He was a former president of Ivor Lumber Co., member of Franklin Baptist Church, Burner Bible Class and a former member of the Lions Club. He was the husband of Mrs. Lelia J. Stephenson and a son of Floyd Holden and Mrs. Maggie S. Stephenson. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Dianne Stephenson Hellberg, Virginia Beach; a son, H. Wayland Stephenson Jr., Richmond; five sisters, Mrs. William Powers, Moyock, N.C., Mrs. Earle Woodall, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. John B. White, Bayview; Mrs. Ralph E. Burgess, Potomac, Md.; Mrs. Lemuel H. Cannon, Charlotte, N.C.; and a brother, Holden Stephenson, Bedford and two grandsons.
