Carpenter, on Hunterdale Road after an illness of many months. She was a daughter of Newitt and Mrs. Talitha Whitley Edwards of Southampton County and was a member of High Street Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gordon Cobb of Courtland and Mrs. Vincent Lankford, Jr., of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. J.V. Milteer, Mrs. Annie Blythe Parker and Mrs. R.V. Carpenter of Franklin; one brother, Emmett Edwards of Washington; and one grandchild. A funeral service was held at Holland Funeral Chapel Friday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Gilliam Bentley, pastor of High Street Methodist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Earving Blythe, C.C. Blythe, Jr., Stanley Edwards, Emmett Holt, Claude Cook and T.P.
