Grover C. Holder. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were Garland Beale, Dr. J.M. Britt Jr., Hoen Edwards Jr., Charles Rawls, C. Scott Lassiter and William Johnson. Mrs. Stutts died Sunday afternoon in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. A native of South Quay, Nansemond County, she was the widow of O. Harrison Stutts and the daughter of Dr. Joseph and Mrs. Marie Jones Lawrence. She was a member of Tucker’s Swamp Baptist Church. Surviving her are a son Joseph Harrison Stutts of Franklin a sister Mrs. Aldine Bearden of Clemson; two brothers Douglas Lawrence of Columbia, S.C. and Leigh Lawrence of Clemson and four grandchildren.
