Cutchin, of the Sunbeam neighborhood. She was a native of Southampton County, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Babb, and was married in 1868 to Bub Story, who died some years ago. She is survived by six children, John Story of Sebrell, Mrs. W.M. Cutchin, Tula Story, Mrs. C.L. Vick, Tommy Story and Billy Story, all of Newsoms; by one half-sister, Mrs. Lou Brewer of Rosemary, N.C., and by 37 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. Mrs. Story was a sterling Christian character, a good neighbor, generous and affectionate in her impulses, and had spent much of her time with her children, faithfully ministering to their needs in occasions of illness in their homes, and living a quiet and unassuming though useful life. She had been a consistent member of Newsoms Baptist Church for almost half a century, taking an active part in the activities of her church until prevented from doing so by blindness and the infirmities of age. The funeral was held from the home of Mr. Cutchin and the burial took place in the family plot at her old home, her Pastor, the Rev. W.E. Trainham, conducting the services. The pallbearers were her grandsons: T.C. Cutchin, E.L. Cutchin, Willie Cutchin, Luther Vick, L.C. Cutchin and George Story.
