Story, 49, a retired Naval Shipyard worker, died Thursday night at 8:45 o’clock at his residence, 3305 Dunkirk Avenue, Portsmouth, after a long illness. He was a son of the late W.M. and Mrs. Alice Harris Story and husband of the late Mrs. Sallie Parker Story, who died several weeks ago. He was a native of Murfreesboro, N.C., and had resided in this section for 21 years. Surviving are two brothers, Gus S. and Lloyd C. Story. Funeral services will be held from the Snellings Funeral Home, Portsmouth, and the body will be brought here for burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery, the funeral cortege reaching Franklin about noon Saturday with services to follow at once.
