Holland and Sons Funeral Home by Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. Pallbearers were Roy Howard, Lacy Howard, Carson C. Daughtrey, Mills P. Daughtrey, P.D. Crumpler, R.E. Sandlin, R.W. Meade and Rubin Story. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park Cemetery. A native of Southampton County, Story, 82, died Friday evening in a Petersburg hospital after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. The son of Rufus Norman and Mrs. Ella Turner Story, he was the husband of Mrs. Susie Coggsdale Story. Other survivors are his son Jack T. Story and his sister Mrs. Carrey Joyner both of Franklin; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
