STORY This estimable lady died Thursday, August 15, 1918, at 11 a.m. She leaves a husband, Mr. E.R. Story, and five children, Edith, Katherine, Nannie, Eldredge and Howard, also a mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Bishop; five sisters, Miss Dollie Bishop, Mrs. Andrew Story of Portsmouth, Misses Vida, Nellie and Lina Bishop and two brothers, Mr. T.M. Bishop of Norfolk and Mr. B.P. Bishop of Southampton County. Her death was a great shock to her loved ones and friends. Her serious condition was not realized until a few moments before her death. She was a faithful and loving wife and mother and a devout and consistent Christian. Her funeral was held at Mt. Horeb M.E. Church of which she was a member, conducted by her pastor, Rev. W.R. Evans, assisted by Rev. L.F. Paulette of the Baptist church. She was buried in the church cemetery. The pallbearers were Harry and Leroy Barrett, Sam and Kelly Bishop, George Blow of Edenton, N.C., Willie Blow of Portsmouth, John Bishop and Vernon Drake. Hattie (BISHOP; Mrs. Edward R.)
