All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ HOWARD CAPEL STORY Howard Capel Story, age 43 years, well-known resident of Courtland, died Monday afternoon, March 15, in a Richmond hospital after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage Saturday afternoon on a visit to his doctor in Richmond. Mr. Story was the husband of Mrs. Marguerite Bunn Story of Courtland and the son of the late Edward R. and Hattie Bishop Story of Southampton County. He was a member of the Courtland Methodist Church and was employed by the St. Regis Paper Company of Franklin. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Allen Capel Story of Courtland and John Edward Story of Suffolk, three sisters, Mrs. Edith Story Bryant of Norfolk, Mrs. Kate Story Mizell and Mrs. Nannie Story Malik both of Suffolk, and a number of nieces and nephews. Remains were taken to the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home and on Wednesday afternoon were taken to the Courtland Methodist Church for funeral services at 3:30. The Rev. C.A. McCormick, pastor of the Courtland Methodist Church, officiated. Interment was in Beechwood Cemetery in Boykins. Pallbearers were W.J. Fowler, William A. Bell, Ben A. Williams, Jr., L.A.
