All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LEWIS WILLARD STORY Funeral services for Lewis Willard Story, 77, who died Saturday night, December 31, at his home near Newsoms following a heart attack, were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at Barnes Methodist Church, with the pastor, Rev.R.B. Moore, officiating, assisted by Rev. T.J. Moseley. Burial was in the cemetery at Newsoms, the pallbearers being nephews of the deceased. Mr. Story was the son of the late Jesse Story and Rebecca Gray Story of Southampton County. For 63 years he was a well-known farmer in his community, and he was an active member of Barnes Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Vick Story; five sons, Emmett L. Story of Sedley, George L. Story of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Willie M. Story of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Jesse G. Story and Cephus E. Story, both of Newsoms; a sister, Mrs. Charlie Bryant of Newsoms; a brother, W.C. Story of Newsoms; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
