A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of Charlie and Mrs. Nannie Story Mack and the wife of Emmett L. Story. She was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Ashby L. Story of Handsom and George L. Story of Franklin; a daughter, Mrs. Susie Lee King of Franklin; a brother, Charlie Mack, Jr. of Newsoms; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Crowder of Newsoms; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Horeb Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hayes Crowder, Edward Crowder, Larry Story, James Story, Norman Gardner and Dennis Woodruff.
