All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ NELL DAUGHTREY STORY FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Nell Daughtrey Story, 50, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Beaver Dam Baptist Church by the Revs. Richard Peerey and Kenneth Williams. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery, with Wright Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Story died Monday in a hospital. A native of Portsmouth, she was the wife of Rubin E. Story Sr. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and had retired from Rose’s Department Store as an operations manager after 17 years. Other survivors include her stepmother, Beulah H. Daughtrey of Franklin; two daughters, Teresa S. Cross of Franklin and Cynthia S. Walker of Windsor; four sons, Rubin E. Story Jr., John Wayne Story and Glen A. Story, all of Franklin, and Kenneth E. Story of Suffolk; three sisters, Ann D. O’Brien and Faye Turner, both of Franklin, and Gladys Atkins of Handsom; four* brothers, Mills Pete Daughtrey, Thomas Daughtrey and Edwin P. Daughtrey of Suffolk; and six grandchildren. *brother Raymond A. Daughtrey omitted Nell (DAUGHTREY; Mrs. Reuben E.
