All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ SUSIE MONTGOMERY STORY MISS SUSIE STORY DIES MONDAY Miss Susie Montgomery Story, 76, died Monday in a Williamsburg hospital. She was the daughter of Elliott Lemuel and Margaret Williams Story of Franklin and the sister of the late E. Frank Story and Mrs. Ashby Cutchin of Franklin. Miss Story was a member of High Street Methodist Church where she served as superintendent of the Junior Department of the Sunday School more than 30 years. She was also a charter member of the Missionary Society and a life member of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service. She was educated at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and for many years was an active member of the Franklin Music Club. Survivors include a niece, Mrs. J. Powell Eley of Franklin, and two nephews, Ashley Phillip Cutchin of Claremont and Frank Story Cutchin of Franklin. A funeral service was conducted in Poplar Spring Cemetery Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock by her pastor, the Rev. Gilliam C. Bentley, assisted by a former pastor, the Rev. James B. Douglas of Asbury Methodist Church, Richmond. Pallbearers were Dr. James P. Broaddus, H.S. Rawlings, F.F. Powell, W. Tall Jones, William H. Cutchin, Beaman A. Cobb, H.B. McLemore, Jr. and G.
