He was the husband of Mrs. Annie Glover Story, and the son of the late Bub and Lottie Ann Babb Story of Newsoms. He was a member of the Newsoms Baptist Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. L.B. Cutchins of Boykins, Mrs. Ryland Johnson of Newsoms, and Mrs. Annie Mae Bobbitt of Petersburg; two sons, William and Councill Story of Newsoms; one brother, D.T. Story of Newsoms; 15 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Newsoms Baptist Church by the pastor, L.F. Smith. Burial was in the Newsoms Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Shirley Edgerton, Gilbert Cutchins, Thomas Cutchins, Robert Story, Jack Bunn and Beale Carter. Friends of the family served as honorary pallbearers.
