JEFFREY THOMAS STARKE

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Jeffery Thomas Starke, 29, was held Sunday 
at 2:30 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. R.E. Brittle.  Burial was in 
Capron Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were: Red Jones, Leroy Cutchins, Joe Spence, Ashby Blythe, 
Rudolph Evelle, Buster Joyner, Eddie Johnson, and Billy O’berry.

   Starke died Thursday in his home.

   A native of Southampton County, he was the son of Joseph T. Starke and 
Elsie Carr Starke.  He was employed at Beale Packing Company and was a member 
of Sycamore Baptist Church.  He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps*.
