For the past 30 years the deceased had made his home in Philadelphia, Pa. He died while visiting a brother, John C. Stortz of Warwick. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Marion Blanche Stortz of Lynchburg; four brothers, John C. Stortz and R.R. Stortz of Warwick, L.M. Stortz of Havertown, Pa., and E.W. Stortz of Richmond; and two sisters, Mrs. O.L. Cash of Lynchburg and Mrs. E.N. Black of South Boston. Funeral services for Mr. Stortz were conducted at the Courtland Baptist Church on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. R.L. Bailey. Burial was in the Courtland Cemetery. Clarence I.
