Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. H. Coleman McGehee. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were R.H. Powell Jr., George Parker III, Andrew Scott, Watt Jones, Douglas Bess, Edwin Barton, Hubert Smith, William Arnett, Milton McKann III and John Bryant. Stewart, 24, died Saturday at 3 p.m. in Norfolk General Hospital. Stewart was injured early Thursday when he fell from the second floor of the Theta XI fraternity house at 1215 DeBree Ave. A native of Franklin, he was a son of Fred C. and Mrs. Virginia Brittingham Stewart. He was a 1960 graduate of Franklin High School, where he had been a member of the school band, and a former student at Old Dominion College. He was an Army veteran. Besides his parents, he is survived by a brother, Frederick B. Stewart of Fort Worth, Tex.
