He was a son of Joe and Mrs. Anna Ellen Stewart of Georgia. Until retirement, he was planing mill superintendant of Hartz Lumber Co. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Retta V. Hart Stewart; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Stewart Curtis of Okinawa; a son Roy Clements Stewart of Dendron; two grandsons and eight great-grandchildren. The body will be taken this morning from Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, to his home on Main Street, where a funeral service will be conduced Thursday at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Ben B. Ussery of Boykins Baptist Church. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery.
