JESSIE R. SILVERTHORNE

   Newsoms - A funeral service for Jessie R. Silverthorne, 69, will be held 
Friday at 11 a.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin by the Rev. Howard Vinson of 
Hunterdale Baptist Church.

   Burial will be in Newsoms Cemetery.

   He died Tuesday at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   A native of North Carolina, he is a member of Hunterdale Baptist Church.

   He is the husband of Mrs. Olivia Beacham Silverthorne and is a retired farmer.

   He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Margie Story of Franklin and Mrs. Ola 
Gray Spence of Chesapeake; three sons, Johning Brown of Greenville, N.C., Eddie 
Brown of Virginia Beach, Rollins Silverthorne of Courtland; and one brother, 
Henry Silverthorne of Washington, N.C.

   He has 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
