OLIVIA BEACHAM SILVERTHORNE

   NEWSOMS - Olivia Beacham Silverthorne, 76, died May 13, in Chesapeake.

   Mrs. Silverthorne, a native of North Carolina, was a member of Hunterdale 
Baptist Church, Franklin.  She was the widow of Jesse R. Silverthorne.

   Survivors include two daughters, Margie Story of Newsoms and Ola G. Spence 
of Chesapeake; three sons, Johnny Brown of Greenville, N.C., Eddie Brown of 
Virginia Beach and Rollins Silverthorne of Courtland; two sisters, Marie 
Silverthorne of Washington, N.C., and Judy Frizzell of Grimesland, N.C.; four 
brothers, Richard G. Beacham of Greenville, Robert Beacham, Henry Beacham and 
Gary W. Beacham, all of Washington, N.C.; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-
grandchildren.

   The funeral was conducted Friday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin by the 
Rev. Howard Vinson.  Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery.
