All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ARCHIE DAVIS SELDOMRIDGE FRANKLIN - Archie Davis Seldomridge, 67, an employee of Union Bag-Camp Paper Corp., died early Thursday in his home after a heart attack. A native of Greenbriar County, W.Va. he lived here 25 years. He was the husband of Mrs. Bessie Porter Seldomridge and a son of O.H. and Mrs. Lizzie Seldomridge. He was a Methodist and a member of Franklin Masonic Lodge. Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Doris S. Roberts of Virginia Beach; a son, Norman Seldomridge of St. Louis; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lucille Brock of Courtland; a sister Mrs. Pauline Deffenbough of Covington; two brothers, John Seldomridge of Covington and Robert Seldomridge of Indianapolis; and eight grandchildren. A funeral service was held Saturday at 3 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Fridley of High Street Methodist Church and the Rev. L.F. Smith of South Quay Baptist Church. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park. Pallbearers were James Pinner, Elle Bailey, Harry Best, Wilbur Stainback, Howard Boone, Bobby Turner, Dale Boone, Bobby Turner, Dale Peele and Billy Hayes.
