ESTER BRANCH SWINGLE

   IVOR - A funeral service for Ester Branch Swingle, 95, was held at 2 p.m. 
Sunday in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. James Tongue. 
Burial was in Ivor Cemetery.

   Mrs. Swingle died Friday in a hospital.*

   A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of James L. Swingle and 
a member of Ivor United Methodist Church.  She was a retired bookkeeper.

   Survivors include two sisters, Lillian Branch of Ivor and Lutie B. Drewry 
of Franklin, and two step-daughters, Myrtle Straw of Brookneal and Lorraine 
Bryant of Jacksonville, Fla.
