REESE SNEAD On Saturday night, July 30th, the death angel visited the home of Mr. W.D. Reese and took away Mr. Reese’s mother, Mrs. Martha Snead. Mrs. Snead was 71 years old, had been ill feeble health for the past two years, but it was not until about two months ago that she was confined to her room. Altho’ she received the best attention her doctor and her loved ones could give her, she gradually wasted away, and at 2 o’clock Monday morning her tired spirit received its final summons, and her soul, released from its frail body, gently and quietly winged its way into eternity. Her three sons, Charley Reese of Emporia, Richard Reese of Roanoke and W.D. Reese of Capron, were at her bedside when the end came. Besides her sons, she leaves nine grandchildren to mourn her loss. On Monday night, the body was taken by her children to the old home at Clover and on Tuesday afternoon she was laid to rest in the family burying ground by the side of her first husband, Mr. T.S. Reese. [Mrs. Martha F.
