Smith, died Thursday night, April 12, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma Johnson, in the Boykins community. Mrs. Smith celebrated her ninetieth birthday on April 5 and had the distinction of being the oldest member of Boykins Baptist Church. Surviving her are three children, Mrs. Johnson and two sons, N.T. and G.W. Smith, besides 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the residence of her daughter Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. Frank B. Handley, assisted by Rev. R.L. Haga. Interment was made in Beechwood Cemetery the active pallbearers being her grandsons, Jack, Herman and Angus Smith, Marshal and Avon Johnson and James Fuller.
