Smith, died on March 10, after an illness of two weeks at the home of her son, Joseph M. Kelley, in Reading, Penn., with whom she was spending the Winter. Mrs. Smith is surviving by a daughter, Mrs. Lottie K. Joyner of Joyner; two sons, Joseph M. Kelley of Reading, Penn., and W. Booker Smith of Ivor; a brother, H.T. Grizzard of Drewryville, thirteen grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held from the home of her daughter at Joyner conducted by Rev. L.F. Callahan of Wakefield. Interment was made in the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, the active pallbearers being P.B. Edwards, Jr., E.C. Judkins, J.L. Whitehorn, W.H. Whitehorn, B.L. Raikes and C.E. Joyner. The casket was covered with a pall of rosebuds and fern.
